Some relief to the selling with a gap up and an attempt at a Buy Signal. A pullback into the area of a Sell Signal finds support for another attempt at the Buy Signal level which is confirmed at the close.

Bearish market behaviour continues with selling from a failed Buy Signal.

No follow through to Friday's recovery and the market drops rapidly triggering a cover signal at 2770.

Heavy selling finds the market looking for support at the Mid-channel, triggering an S/T Sell Signal below 2735 which is initially unsuccessful.

Failure at 2750 in erratic late afternoon action triggers another Sell Signal at 2735 as the market declines into the close. As usual cover short positions overnight.

Failure to recover from 2770 results in another Bear Market Warning.

A pop and rally as the market opens up significantly above the Buy Signal line at 2687 but ultimately ends back at even as the market continues with its now characteristic afternoon sell-down.

An S/T Buy Signal at 2711.

A recovery of sorts but finding some strong negative forces on the declining angles, too far too soon.

Expect more deeply choppy bipolar behaviour as the market continues to resolve its problem.

An S/T Sell Signal at 2774 in early trade sees the market down at 2750 before a strong bounce at 'rising support' and a choppy remainder of the day.

Strong bounce and no follow through – Cover at 2760.

An Osc Buy Signal reflecting the 'stabilisation' since the low last week but the severe downtrend remains in place with the market selling into any strength.

Bear Market Warning flashing again, and the weekly trend turns neutral.

The market is currently in trouble and should be treated with extreme caution.

Futures indicate a serious drop at the open and how the market responds will be revealing.
